Uken is looking for a Technical Artist to join the team. This role will be responsible for creating functional, performant and awesome visual effects for our games. Uken is a mobile game development studio that embraces product innovation as a strategy for success. In order to leverage our creative spirit we maintain a lean development strategy and sharp focus on delivering highly engaging experiences.

As a Ukenite, you'll be working on meaningful things like:

  • Creating stylized visual effects to bring our next generation of games to life
  • Creating awesome 2D and UI animations
  • Optimizing VFX effects to fit design and technical constraints
  • Developing systems and tool-sets for artists and developers

Your background​ should include:

  • 3+ years experience with Unity, including best practices and asset optimizations
  • Proficiency with animations, particle systems and material setup
  • Experience working with shaders / creating shaders
  • Significant experience with Unity UI
  • Experience with Photoshop and ability to create assets for the visual effects
  • Moderate experience with C#
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Appetite to learn, grow, and take on increasingly more responsibility

It's a big plus​ if you have:

  • A portfolio of self­-made games
  • Good knowledge of additional art toolsets (3D studio, Maya, etc..)
  • Degree in Graphic Art or related field
