We are looking for a senior mechanical engineer who will serve as the chief mechanical discipline.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for audio/video mechanical planning, conceptualization, and creating mechanical designs for new products
- End-to-end design ownership from specification to qualifications and transfer to production
- Suggest new ideas and solutions to problems
- Perform/simulate engineering calculations to support design work
- Work closely with various organizational disciplines as part of the product life cycle
- Translate customers’ requirements and functionality into the relevant detailed specifications and other relevant documents
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Serves as the mechanical focal point (FP) in front of the customer
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. is advantage)
- 10+ yrs. proven experience as a mechanical engineer
- Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar (Solid Edge – advantage)
- Thermal simulation knowledge – a great advantage
- Knowledge of relevant mass-production technologies
- Analytical skills
- Demonstrated project development and leadership skills
- Experience in mechanical engineering methodologies
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
- Proven hands-on skills
- Able to work independently
- Ability and passion for perpetual learning
- Excellent communication skills
