Great Blue Resorts owns and operates 10 private resort lakefront properties located throughout Ontario’s cottage country. These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multi-sports courts, playgrounds and beaches.
Pump Truck Operator Role Overview
A Great Blue Resorts Property Crew is responsible for participating in all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the Resorts facilities and maintaining the resort to a clean, safe and well-maintained standard which enhances owner and guest enjoyment. The goal is to ensure the resort facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the resorts’ business operations.
Responsibilities
A Great Blue Resorts Pump Truck Operator is responsible for working in a team under the supervision of the Property Manager to help with all septic waste removal and upkeep operations of the Resorts facilities and maintaining the resort to a clean, safe and well-maintained standard.
The Pump Truck Operator responsibility will include but not limited to the following:
1. Facilities management
a. Daily removal of waste from cottages
b. Weekly records of usage
c. Basic knowledge of system operations
d. Visual inspections of tanks
e. Proper personal protective equipment
2. Equipment management
a. Routine maintenance Checklists
b. Safety Equipment
c. Property maintenance equipment – pump truck
3. Work Orders
a. Completing assigned job lists for day
4. Property management
a. 100% compliance with Health & Safety requirements
b. Facilities management including Beach, Boats, Marina, Docks, Multi court, Playground, Pool, Splash Pad
c. Beach maintenance - Beach raking, chairs, toys. Safety Kits, life jackets, Boathouse maintenance
5. Grounds maintenance
a. Perform twice daily checks of the resort during peak season to identify and rectify areas of concern.
b. Follow up to make sure all garbage receptacles are emptied daily and cleaned to reduce odors and insects.
6. Rental Unit maintenance
a. Perform regular inspections of all seasonal rental units to confirm all water, electrical and septic systems are working properly.
b. Visually inspect exterior and interior of each unit and perform any necessary repairs.
c. Check all BBQ propane levels and overall functioning of BBQs to maximize the customer's experience.
d. Visually inspect all lawn furniture, picnic tables and fire rings to confirm cleanliness and functionality.

Skills/Requirements
- Prior customer service experience considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have G Driver’s License
- Comfortable working outdoors in differing weather conditions
- Comfortable working independently
- Must have the physical dexterity to lift upwards 50 pounds for short periods of time.
- Compensation of $21 - $22 / hr depending on experience
