Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Operator to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with supervisory experience. This role requires a proactive approach to facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently while providing excellent customer service to our tenants and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff to ensure optimal performance of building operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems.
• Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications within the facility.
• Maintain electrical systems, including troubleshooting wiring issues and ensuring proper functioning of lighting and power distribution.
• Read and interpret schematics for various building systems to facilitate effective repairs and upgrades.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with management to develop maintenance plans that enhance facility performance and longevity.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a facilities maintenance or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, including troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
• Experience using CMMS for managing maintenance tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and tenants effectively.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational goals.
