About the Job
Tadpool Real Estate is recruiting a Building Operator on behalf of a reputable real estate company that owns and manages a portfolio of properties across the Greater Montreal Area. This position is for a mid-sized office building located in Verdun, QC. The role focuses on day-to-day operational upkeep, minor maintenance, and ensuring tenant comfort and safety.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Property Manager, the Building Operator will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the building. This includes basic cleaning tasks, responding to service calls from tenants, and handling light repairs. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and takes ownership of their building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in common areas (entranceways, hallways, restrooms, etc.)
  • Respond to daily service calls from tenants in a courteous and timely manner
  • Conduct minor maintenance and repair tasks (e.g., replacing lightbulbs, adjusting door hardware, basic plumbing fixes)
  • Ensure mechanical rooms, storage spaces, and janitorial areas are kept clean and organized
  • Monitor building systems and escalate technical issues to contractors when needed
  • Conduct routine property inspections and report issues to the Property Manager
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal at entrances or minor landscaping upkeep

Desired Candidate

  • Experience in a similar building maintenance or janitorial role
  • Basic knowledge of general repairs and building systems
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a service-oriented attitude
  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Bilingual (French/English)

Work Arrangement
This position is 100% on-site at the office building in Verdun, QC. Regular working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities for after-hours emergencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
