The Township of North Huron is recruiting one (1) individual to fill the role of:
FACILITIES OPERATOR II
(Full-Time Permanent)
The Township of North Huron is seeking a Permanent Full-time employee to assist with the operations of the North Huron Township facilities.
Under the direction of the Facilities Lead Hand the Facilities Operator II provides maintenance, operational and custodial services to the municipal recreational facilities within North Huron. This position also performs parks maintenance services for the municipal parklands within North Huron. The Facilities Operator operates within the budgets, objectives, policies and programs approved by Council and all applicable by-laws and Ontario regulations.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
· Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
· Basic Arena Refrigeration Certificate.
· Certified Pool Operator or equivalent required.
· Two (2) years’ experience in recreation parks & facilities or other experience deemed equivalent by the Township of North Huron.
· Two (2) years’ experience working with refrigeration equipment.
· Experience or background in trades would be considered an asset.
· Certification or willingness to become certified as Certified Ice Technician designation required.
· Certification or willingness to become certified for Working at Heights and Operating Lift Certification required.
· Certification or willingness to become certified in First Aid and CPR with AED required.
· Excellent physical condition with ability to lift up to 50lbs.
· Valid driver’s license.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (shift work including evenings and weekends are required)
Rate of Pay: Band 5 ($25.58 - $31.98 per hour)
Pension: Defined pension plan through the Ontario Municipal Employee Retirement System (OMERS)
