Operations and Property Manager

Our client is a privately-owned Real Estate Development and Property Management company that owns and manages a diverse and growing portfolio of commercial properties. They are committed to excellence in design and service, actively developing new exciting mixed-use and commercial projects.

The incumbent should be an ambitious self-starter with a passion for real estate, a great service-oriented attitude, possessing strong communication and organizational skills, a positive personality, with the ability to work both independently and with our senior management team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing property maintenance schedules and capital projects.
- Oversee construction and maintenance contractors during service and repairs.
- Manage BAS and other building operation systems.
- Address tenant work orders in a prompt and professional manner to meet lease obligations.
- Review and negotiate construction and property maintenance contracts.
- Work to meet asset management objectives.
- Assist the operations group in preparation of the annual budget.
- Assist controller with yearend audits.
- Liaise with lease administrators and legal to ensure accuracy of lease information.
- Work alongside the team to implement best practices to improve relationships and quality of service for our tenants.
- On call for after-hours emergencies and troubleshooting regarding properties.
- Other office administrative tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree in business or other related field is beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years’experience in commercialproperty management; experience in other asset classes or RPA/CPM designation is also beneficial.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and multitask.
- Well-organized,analytical, problem solverwith high attentionto detail and negotiation skills to manage and resolve issues effectively.
- A demonstratedknowledge of buildingoperating systemsin order to applycritical analysis of proposed capital work.
- A demonstrated knowledge of all relevant environmental and related regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
