Job Overview
We have an exciting job opportunity for a dedicated and skilled building operator that has an eye for detail, is self-motivated, responsible, and career-oriented.
Duties
- Respond to customer service requests ensuring safety, comfort, cleanliness, responsiveness, follow up and communication
- Regular inspection and recording of all base building equipment and systems such as chillers, centrifugal pumps, emergency equipment (fire extinguishers and hoses, alarms, sprinkler pump) and various air-handling systems, etc.
- Operate the building’s automation, fire life and safety, mechanical and electrical systems, including fob programming and schedule maintenance
- Maintain operator logs, checklists, and inspections
- Maintain inventory of cleaning-related products on site. Count and order supplies as necessary.
- Maintain positive contractor relationships while overseeing contracted services such as cleaning, security, HVAC, grounds, snow removal, etc.
- Carry out the planned maintenance program for the properties, including minor maintenance to buildings and associated structures
- Maintenance tasks including filter and drive belt replacements, adding/replacing fluids and oils, greasing bearings, etc.
- Minor handyman including replacing ceiling tiles, painting, changing lights, etc.
- Follow Lynch high standards, processes and protocols established.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must be physically fit; able to perform physical duties as required including lifting, bending, stooping, climbing ladders and working at heights
- Must live in Regina and have reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to work early mornings and flexible with start and finish times and ability to be on-call
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License at minimum and a clean driver’s abstract
- A valid 5th class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency is preferred or BES certifications and/or Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check; employment references and background checks are performed
- Experience / Knowledge of HVAC systems and their related computer software as well as plumbing, electrical, BAS Systems and Life Safety Systems
- Experience / Knowledge in determining problems and/or deficiencies of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, and building systems and recommending solutions

Consequently, employee duties can always include as needed: shoveling snow & spreading ice melter; landscape and lawn care duties, litter pick up, inspection of facilities, as well as basic indoor/outdoor maintenance and repair work. Employees must be required to operate hand tools, power tools, snow blowers, lawn tractors, as well as basic lawn care equipment.
