We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/Building Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in facilities maintenance and be capable of performing a variety of basic repair and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventative maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Identify and resolve any general maintenance issues on the property (check all doors for proper operation, wear, and tear maintenance requirements, etc.)
• Conduct regular site inspection (roof, fire sprinklers, etc.)
• Supervise and coordinate with other maintenance staff or contractors as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Respond to “off hours” emergency, as required and to be on scheduled “on call” as well as, provide essential services coverage during site shutdowns and Statutory Holidays.
• Foster and maintain positive tenant relations and be professional in appearance and always conduct.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and clients.
• Valid Ontario Driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Must be able to provide clear criminal records check
• Experience in facilities maintenance with a basic understanding of mechanical systems.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
• A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
• Self-starter and takes initiatives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
