OPERATOR – Roles and Responsibilities

As a Facility Operator, you will report to the Facility/Maintenance Managerand will be responsible for the safety and training of Assistant Operators, Ramp Hands and Facility labourers.

Your focus will be ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility on a day to day basis. This will be achieved by communicating and documenting potential problems/hazards through daily safety meetings with facility staff.

Operators will be able to safely execute day to day maintenance on facility equipment, unsupervised.

As you progress through our safety management program (online training, competency exams, policies and procedures) and demonstrate knowledge of your current role and responsibilities, you will be eligible for promotion and/or additional compensation.

Some of these tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring all employees are clocking in/out on time (completing payroll paperwork)

- Monitoring hardness levels in processing tank

- Documenting and executing all plant maintenance safely and efficiently without supervision

- Anticipating and preventing facility downtime

- Performing daily maintenance on various pumps and machinery.

- Assisting managers with scheduled maintenance

- Ensuring daily start-up and shut down checklists are being completed

- Ensuring safe loader operations and yard maintenance (fixing ramps, yard maintenance, clearing bins)

- Daily equipment inspections

- Assisting managers with inventory and supply management

- Constant communication with Ramp hands and Assistant operators to ensure Standard operating procedures are being adhered to

- Supervising, organizing, and training Assistant operators and Ramp hands, to ensure plant efficiency

- Good housekeeping in/around processing tank

- Identifying, documenting and eliminating potential risks and hazards

- Participating in daily safety meetings and providing a safe work environment for all employees

- Ensuring after hour customer emergencies are being managed efficiently (working occasional weekends and night shifts)

-Rig experience, loader experience, basic knowledge of pumps/flow systems, Centrifuge operation and first-aid would be an asset, but are not mandatory.

-Compensation will be based off of current knowledge and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
