Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and should have maintenance experience in a commercial environment, with a good knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing to ensure that our facilities operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Operations team
- Assist in the review of Operations Team performance
- Weekly patrol of common area interior, vacant units and exterior of the property
- Assist with on-site maintenance duties and responsibilities as dictated by staffing level and weather
- Regular roof inspection and reporting including seagull permitting with regulatory authority. Monitor roof snow loads
- Conduct meetings with staff and coordinate staff training sessions as required
- Operations and Health and Safety training for on-site staff and contractors as applicable and new employees. Maintain training logs
- Review all pertinent issues at the property and review with Property Manager
- Review monthly accounting statement; comment on accuracy and budget variances
- Assist in the preparation of capital projects by reviewing each property, obtaining quotes and making recommendations
- Prepare scope of work for capital and repair projects and get quotes from contractors
- Oversee projects being undertaken by contractors
- Oversee and respond to tenant service calls as directed by the Property Manager
- Oversee special project work, i.e. building drawings for leasing, assist the Property Manager in preparation of annual operating budget, conduct purchasing procedures, and solicit quotes for major projects
- After hours emergency coverage
- Other duties / projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Supervisory experience in managing maintenance teams or contractors.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, electrical systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with schematics and blueprints for effective project execution.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
