Overview

This full-time position reports directly to the Property Manager assigned to the Condominium Corporation. Work is to be performed in accordance with any applicable regulations. All duties to be performed within the regular work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding statutory holidays except for Emergency on Call requirements, snow removal and pool testing, which will be as required.

Summary

The Resident Manager position requires the following:

  • The Resident Manager devote himself or herself exclusively to the business of the Condominium Corporation on a full- time basis.
  • The Resident Manager be required to live at the main floor Resident Manager suite at a mutually agreed monthly rental rate on a full-time basis.
  • The Resident Manager enter into an employment agreement with the Property Manager for their mutual benefit.
  • Demonstrate strong focus to achieve results.
  • Be a self-starter, proactive in identifying and addressing issues and concerns.
  • Have exceptional organizational skills and be able to multitask.
  • Have outstanding interpersonal communication (both oral and written).
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with residents, contractors and the condominium Board of Directors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction / trades drawing.
  • Demonstrate excellent decision-making skills to problem solve using sound reasoning based on facts and logic.
  • Must be able to lift heavy items, if required.
  • Ability to walk many flights of stairs as needed.
  • Awareness of safety regulations / requirements and proven ability to work safely.
  • WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical systems, electrical and plumbing
  • Alberta Pool Operator Certification required.
  • Building Operator Certification required; equivalencies or work experience considered.
  • Proficient in PC systems (Microsoft word, Excel, etc.
