Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Operator holding a BES I & II certification to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and facilities maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all building systems are functioning optimally while providing a safe and efficient environment for all occupants.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of building maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory management.
• Perform routine inspections of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
• Interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
• Oversee minor construction projects or renovations within the facility as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
• Provide leadership and training to maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various building systems.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documents.
• Experience with welding is a plus but not required.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.

Pay: $26.45-$28.22 per hour
