Senior Building Superintendent / Junior Building Operator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operations and maintenance of a building, ensuring its functionality and safety for its occupants. This individual will ensure adherence to regulations and will work closely with the maintenance team to solve problems that may arise.
Responsibilities
· Ensure that the property is in compliance with company standards
. Maintaining and repairing building systems
. Conducting regular inspections & performing preventive maintenance
· Work with contractors in the building
· Responsible for coordinating and completing all maintenance activities to improve the reliability, safety, and cleanliness of the building.
· Ensures that work is completed as scheduled, to high standards and that all safety protocols are always followed.
· Some evenings, weekends or on call at work may be required
Qualifications
· Experience in working in a high-rise condominium
· Experience needed in Plumbing and Electrical systems troubleshooting
· Knowledgeable in a building's mechanical systems
· Knowledgeable in a building's automotive systems
· Experience in performing janitorial duties
· Bondable, dependable and trustworthy
· Proficient in English & Spanish (verbal & written)
· Must have good customer service skills to deal with resident issues.
· Time management and communication skills
· With good rapport and excellent customer service is beneficial.
Summary
As a Senior Building Superintendent / Junior Building Operator, you will oversee the maintenance and operation of residential or commercial buildings, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all occupants. You will need to utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and industrial maintenance to address maintenance issues efficiently. Your leadership and supervising experience will guide a team in delivering high-quality service, while your premium skills in project management and CMMS will enhance operational effectiveness. Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish will facilitate excellent customer service and collaboration with residents and staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- North York, ON M3J 2K3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Building Superintendent / Junior Building Operator: 2 years (required)
