The Project Coordinator will work with the Project Manager to ensure projects are implemented successfully by gathering equipment, resources, and information. The project coordinator is responsible for all administrative tasks to help projects stay on schedule and within budget. This includes assigning and monitoring daily tasks and communication, as well as creating reports and updates for the project manager and other members of management. A project coordinator serves an essential role in effective project management. As a project coordinator, you will be responsible for following the company's core values so that the organization achieves our vision for the future.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking, writing & distributing minutes; booking meetings
  • Preparation of presentation material, correspondence, agendas, schedules
  • Site Inspection: taking photos, reviewing design drawings for compliance to Owner requirements
  • Updating spreadsheets: financial tracking, risk registers, and issues logs
  • Updating and tracking MS Project Gantt charts; producing project status reports
  • Tracking and documenting the issuance of all POs & change orders
  • Providing support to Principals, Project Managers, and other team members as required.
  • General clerical duties including but are not limited to ordering, stocking, filing & running errands as required
  • Site Inspection: photos and review of design drawings for compliance to Owner requirements; participation in the deficiency reporting process

Required Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from $250K to $90 million. Experience working in a design-build environment is an asset.
  • Strong commercial understanding of project contracts
  • Advanced reading, writing, communication, and computational skills
  • Proficient in various computer applications including Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to prepare complex presentation material, agendas, schedules; ability to create charts, graphs, and other visual aids to illustrate company organization, project teams, fee calculations & various other data
  • Knowledge of: AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling, project management practices, finance and budgeting concepts
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage, coordinate, track all project-related documentation for numerous projects
  • Ability to work on & prioritize a multitude of tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines; works well under pressure
  • Takes direction well
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle

Education

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Architecture / Design, Construction Management, or other appropriate disciplines.
  • PMP or CAPM certification, or in the process of obtaining is an asset.
  • LEED certification is an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work experience on a construction site in the capacity of a Coordinator or Site Supervisor would be an asset

Working Conditions

  • Construction site trailer environment
  • Occasional travel to client locations when needed
  • Onsite Position located in King City - 9 am-5 pm
  • Company Head Office Located North York

Reporting Relationship

  • Accountable to Junior/Senior Project Managers
  • Accountable to project timelines and plan

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
