About the team

As engineering manager you’ll lead a cross-functional team of talented software engineers that build features to support growth in our global marketplaces. This team closely collaborates with our marketing teams to develop and optimize the platform that helps Turo acquire and engage millions of guests.

What you will do


Job Duties:

  • Produce high-quality maintainable code, test it, collaboratively review it and ship it.

  • Identify areas to improve and scale architecture and application design.

  • Ensure proper technical design and documentation.

  • Develop tools and utilities to diagnose and fix problems.

  • Collaborate extensively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver the next generation of product features.

  • Lead complex technical projects and provide technical mentorship.

  • Work with product manager to build a roadmap based upon key business metrics.

  • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members.

  • Help engineers with their career growth by assigning them to projects tailored to their skill levels, personalities, work styles, and professional goals.

  • Build plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges in the organization.

  • Telecommuting is permitted.

Your profile

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any
field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any
occupation in a related field.

For this role, the target base salary range in San Francisco, CA is $245,581.20 - $300,000.00
annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the
market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the
range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and
interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We
encourage you to talk with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and
benefits available for this role.
