About the team

It’s an exciting time to join the total rewards team at Turo! Under the direction of the Compensation Manager, the Compensation Analyst plays a key role in attracting and retaining top talent by participating in the design, communication, and efficient administration of our compensation programs for Turists (aka employees) around the world. Additionally, this role will help to ensure that our compensation programs are aligned with business objectives, market competitive, equitable, cost effective and focused on enhanced organizational capability.

What you will do

  • Conduct routine job evaluations in partnership with HRBPs to assess new roles consistent with market benchmarks, pay philosophy, and internal equity
  • Conduct ad hoc compensation analyses as requested by company leadership and the Board of Directors’ Compensation Committee
  • Develop effective compensation communications including routine reporting, annual notices, and compensation practice documentation
  • Manage all third-party survey processes, including annual intake and integration of external survey data and preparation and export of company data
  • Maintain the job structure framework through the job evaluation process, ensuring that positions are evaluated against the established set of criteria and are leveled consistently across the organization
  • Work with Talent Acquisition in support of pay transparency requirements and routine offer creation
  • In partnership with HRBPs and managers, prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Provide analytical support to the Manager of Compensation’s executive compensation work
  • Create and administer all job profiles and job family structures in Workday
  • Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; use spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess and report on market trends
  • Participate in end-to-end activities related to our compensation planning processes which include annual salary increases, bi-annual promotions, annual ongoing equity grants, salary structure analysis, incentive planning, system configuration, communications, reporting activities and general project management
  • Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt
  • Participate and support medium to large-scale compensation projects and possibly take the lead on small-scale compensation projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Demonstrates Turo’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of compensation experience
  • Workday HCM and advanced compensation experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to tell compelling stories with data.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Bonus if you have

  • Experience at a public global technology company
  • SHRM-CP certification

The San Fransisco base salary target range for this full-time position is $112,000-$126,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in this location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
