About the team

We are looking for an experienced Investigator with supervisory experience to lead and support a team of Investigators. You will supervise and support a team of investigators that are tasked with investigating risk events of varying severity and provide Trust and Safety support for the Turo community. This team is also responsible for liaising directly with law enforcement and other governmental authorities. You will also support the team as they respond to various incident and support requests, such as but not limited to, law enforcement requests, subpoenas warrants, vehicle crimes, fraud, as well as other requests that may be designated by leadership.

You will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our diverse and talented team while playing a key role in the success of the business. The ideal candidate has superb judgment, leads with empathy, and has a keen eye for details. You'll report to our Trust and Safety Manager.

What you will do

  • Lead and support a growing team of Investigations associates
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new team members
  • Assess team’s ability and coach toward achievement of performance goals
  • Develop and implement processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Drive customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and investigative excellence
  • Collaborate across operations to reduce bottlenecks in service
  • Communicate trends and other insights to Trust and Safety leadership team
  • Manage projects from start to finish maintaining team alignment and prioritization
  • Provide support for the Investigations and LER team (up to 40% of work time)
  • Celebrate excellent performance and empower your team to continuously improve

Your profile

  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience with high performing teams
  • 4+ years of operational experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to occasionally work on weekends and holidays, if required
  • Superb and dynamic communication, interpersonal, and investigative skills
  • Commitment to high responsiveness and availability, strong ability to prioritize
  • A team player with a positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to the mission
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise with Google Docs, Sheets and/or MS Office

Bonus if you have

  • Project management certification
  • Interviewing certification (WZ, Reid, etc)
  • Experience with Tableau and Salesforce

The Phoenix base salary target range for this full-time position is $70,000-$85,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
