Position Summary:

To help support our continued growth, we are looking for a full-time position for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to transform our existing platform into highly available microservices. This role will focus on implementing high-availability design best practices to enhance our existing platform. Our DevOps team goes above and beyond to ensure our software systems are performant and highly available. We are a 24/7 operation that requires on-call coverage to serve any technical incidents that may arise.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Improving our container (EKS/ECS) based infrastructure to respond to the demands of our expanding customer base
  • Provide architectural vision recommendations for our cloud infrastructure footprint
  • Support the infrastructure layer of our mixed Linux and Windows stack for the company's production, staging, QA, and development environments
  • Work to maintain our uptime and system stability expectations in a sensitive operational environment
  • Monitor and constantly improve the security posture of the environment
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support to critical infrastructure

You have:

  • Strong hands-on technical background with Windows & Linux
  • Strong experience with a cloud provider, ideally AWS
  • Programming experience in a scripting or compiled language (Python/ Golang/ C#/ Java)
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and management, including tools like Helm, Kustomize, and kubectl.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on reliability and performance optimization.
  • Experience administering relational and document databases (MySQL, Redshift, DynamoDB, Redis)
  • Experience with several of the following technologies
    • Service meshes (Kong/ Istio)
    • High-availability technologies such as load balancers & clustering
    • Build automation (Gitlab)
    • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (like ElasticSearch/ kibana/ new relic/ logstash/ fluentd)
    • Experience with source control providers (Github/ Gitlab)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with a K8S monitoring solution (Promethus/Loki/Otel etc.)
  • Exposure to Flux or ArgoCD

Please view the base salary range for this role below. The range listed is our expected compensation for the role. However, the pay offered may vary depending on a variety of factors including qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
