Position Summary

As a Project Manager on the Engineering team, you will play a key role in the planning, execution and end-to-end delivery of key technical projects spanning Engineering, Data Science, and DevOps. Areas of responsibility include managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, performing business impact analysis, documenting business requirements, improving processes and system changes, creating business case assessments, and leading project delivery.

This is a full-time position in our Vancouver office.

What you'll be doing

  • Create and maintain project schedule, baselining it and obtaining sign-off on it when scope is finalized, and always managing actuals vs. forecast vs. baseline
  • Provide weekly executive project status updates regarding current project focus, upcoming actions, and key highlights/risks
  • Maintain issues & risks logs, ensuring issues & risks are categorized and prioritized appropriately, working with project stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies and action plans for issues
  • Conduct regular action-oriented, project status meetings with the working level team
  • Lead and/or conduct Change Management including stakeholder impact assessments, change management plan, training plan and communication plan
  • Serve as point-of-contact for project information and transparent communication
  • Understand Product management in agile and be able to support with best practices.

You have

  • 5+ years of project management experience in software or technology, preferably in an engineering department or with technical projects
  • Energy and thrive in a fast paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and are able to generate multiple solutions to any problem
  • Personal planning and organizational skills; ability to effectively set priorities; negotiating, initiating, planning and organizing activities; ability to meet deliverables
  • Self-motivated, positive, ambitious, detailed-oriented, and a big appetite for high achievement
  • The ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders to establish cross-functional alignment for projects and initiatives
  • Experience communicating effectively across different areas of the organization
  • Expertise in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working on an agile team
  • Knowledge of AWS, Data Lakes, Scrum processes
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and/or Excel formulas and automation tools
  • Agile certifications, PMP or equivalent

Please view the base salary range for this role below. The range listed is our expected compensation for the role. However, the pay offered may vary depending on a variety of factors including qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.

$85,000$95,000 CAD
