NOTE: This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for working within the technical team to design and implement features in Transoft Solution’s Web-based software portfolio. This role will be focused on developing for AI-driven Asset Management related products.

In this role you will be expected to:

• Invent new software solutions and algorithms to solve problems related to the product domain.
• Develop, maintain, improve and re-invent existing company products.
• Develop features to aggregate and calculate data for Safety score purposes.
• Work closely with Product Managers to gather software requirements.
• Work with project teams to plan, analyze and estimate project timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvements within the agile software development process.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders and be accountable to each other to achieve the project’s vision.

About You:

• You have a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, or a related field.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a back-end developer working with APIs, databases and pipelines, which includes requirements analysis, architectural design, implementation, algorithm development and testing.
• You have experience using React, Java, JavaScript or other languages. Experience working with Open Data, AI and APIs would be an asset.
• You have experience with database design, implementation and administration (PostgreSQL).
• You have working knowledge of front-end basics (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs, etc.)
• You may have experience in product-based development environments.
• You work well in a deadline-driven agile software development environment.
• You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You have the ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels in the organization, and with diverse backgrounds.
• You are self-motivated and are driven to succeed.
• You learn new skills and technologies quickly.
• You are comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
