About the Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software developer based in Ardens Grafton, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warks. The Software Developer works with the technical team to design and implement CAD-based software for the engineering and architectural design communities.

NOTE: This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, which is located about a 10-15 minute journey from either the Stratford-upon-Avon or Honeybourne Stations.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Invent new software solutions to solve engineering and architectural design problems.
• Develop, maintain, improve and re-invent existing company products.
• Work closely with product management to gather software requirements.
• Work with project teams to plan, analyze and estimate project timelines.
• Assist Customer Support, Sales and Marketing with solving customer facing issues and answering questions about the software.
• Contribute to continuous improvements within the agile software development process.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders and be accountable to each other to achieve each project’s vision.
  

About You:

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 3 or more years of experience in .NET application development and GUI frameworks such as WinForms or WPF/WinUI.
• You have 2 or more years of experience in web application frameworks such as Express/Node, and developing rich interactive UI using frameworks like React.
• You are comfortable working with users to develop innovative new tools to solve engineering problems. (Including requirements analysis, software design and implementation, algorithm development and user interface).
• You are proficient in the basics, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs, etc.
• You have working knowledge of UML, UI design, database schema and software life cycle tools.
• You work well in a deadline-driven, agile software development environment.
  
• You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and tactfully.
• If you have experience developing software in 2D and 3D graphics environments such as Unity, or prior experience in Three.js or similar data visualisation libraries, this would be an asset.
• If you have experience with Visual C++ development, this would be an asset.
• If you have experience in a product-based development environment, this will certainly set you apart from the rest.
