Role Overview
We’re looking for a People Partner who’s ready to grow from a strong HR Generalist into a trusted business partner. In this role, you’ll support the day‑to‑day employee experience, run key people programs, and start building your advisory and strategic capabilities. You’ll work closely with — and learn directly from — our CPO, gaining exposure to business priorities, people strategy, and organizational health.
This role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their HR expertise and develop into a more strategic People Partner over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Support & Experience
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and processes
  • Support onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth and engaging employee experience
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data hygiene in our HRIS (HiBob)
  • Collaborate with the Payroll & Benefits Manager on transitions, leaves, and policy communication
  • Manager Support & Early Advisory
  • Assist frontline managers in applying policies and navigating basic people issues
  • Participate in performance discussions and employee relations cases alongside the CPO
  • Prepare communications, documentation, and follow‑ups for people‑related initiatives
  • People Programs & Operational Excellence
  • Coordinate key people programs (engagement surveys, performance cycles, recognition efforts)
  • Support DEI initiatives and culture‑building activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and local employment regulations
  • Strategic Development & Business Exposure
  • Attend department meetings to understand team goals, dynamics, and talent needs
  • Analyze employee sentiment and turnover data to surface insights
  • Start contributing observations that inform people strategy and organizational effectiveness

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of HR experience in a generalist or people operations role (high‑growth or global SaaS environments are a plus)
  • Strong understanding of HR fundamentals: onboarding, policy management, ER basics, compliance
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms, basic reporting, and internal communication tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities independently
  • Experience supporting distributed or hybrid teams is helpful
  • Proficiency in French and English is a must

What Would Make You Stand Out

  • Experience with Canadian immigration processes, including work permit renewals, collaborating with immigration consultants on LMIAs and CSQs, and managing government‑approved position allocations.
  • Bilingual communication skills (English & French) with the ability to navigate sensitive people matters and partner effectively with teams across North America and Europe.
  • Strong compliance background, such as SOC2/ISO audits, Quebec’s 1% training contribution, CNESST salary mass declaration, and communication with government agencies.
  • Hands‑on HRIS expertise, ideally with HiBob, and a proactive approach to optimizing configuration, workflows, and data accuracy.
  • Experience supporting U.S. employee populations, with a practical understanding of employment practices, benefits, and cross‑border considerations.
  • Systems‑ and process‑oriented thinking, using data and scalable workflows to enhance People Operations in a growing tech environment.

Core Competencies

  • Employee Focus – Responds quickly, professionally, and with empathy
  • Attention to Detail – Executes with accuracy and consistency
  • Discretion & Judgment – Manages sensitive information with care
  • Initiative & Follow‑Through – Takes ownership and closes the loop
  • Business Curiosity – Seeks to understand how teams work and what they need
  • Relationship Building – Builds trust with employees, managers, and peers
  • Learning Agility – Open to feedback and eager to grow

What Success Looks Like

  • Employees receive timely, clear, and helpful support
  • People programs run smoothly and consistently across teams and locations
  • Managers begin to see you as a reliable thought partner
  • You demonstrate growing confidence in advising, prioritizing, and anticipating needs
  • The CPO can delegate foundational and repeatable initiatives with full trust
