We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Data Analyst Co-op to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, learn from experienced professionals, and help shape data-informed decisions that impact job seekers and employers across North America.

What You’ll Do

As a Co-op Data Analyst at ActivateStaff, you will:

• Ask analytical questions, formulate business problems, and define required data entities
• Profile data and conduct statistical analysis to assess data quality and consistency
• Use UML or visual modeling tools to represent business problems and proposed solutions
• Identify and uncover hidden patterns and relationships in large datasets
• Define which dashboards are needed for specific use cases and select the ideal visual tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
• Write queries, participate in UAT, and integrate stakeholder feedback
• Contribute to cross-functional projects involving advanced analytics, dashboards, statistical modeling, and machine learning
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to transform business needs into data-driven solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a university program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and at least one data analysis language (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
• Exposure to BI or visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, or Looker
• Ability to communicate insights clearly and work independently with guidance
• Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a strong sense of ownership over your work
