About the Role

You will join our lean, highly ambitious, and equally talented team as a senior full-stack engineer to help us build infrastructure and services to facilitate real-time interactions and multimedia features that scale to millions of users. Your core responsibility will be to architect and own the services and APIs that deliver our mission while ensuring we ship features at lightning speed with minimal hiccups.

What You'll Do

Expect a variety of work across the engineering team as this will involve:

• Developing services that handle multimedia, commerce, and social features

• Implementing best practices for CI/CD

• Make our tech stack elite

• Work very closely with the product and mobile teams

• Communicate technical challenges to technical and non-technical team members

You will help us get from 0 -> 1.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in a seriously fast-paced start-up (prefer early stage)

• No ego, open to being challenged, and ability to bring fresh perspectives

• Strong knowledge of the NodeJS ecosystem, including but not limited to Typescript, Javascript, NPM, Express, and Webpack

• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly Postgres

• Strong knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, including but not limited to ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.

• Strong knowledge of using infrastructure as code, such as Terraform and CloudFormation

• Experienced with developing, running, and deploying highly scalable and available Applications and APIs in production

• Outstanding ability to communicate technical problems

• The hunger to build something remarkable

• Bonus:

  • Experienced with Javascript based Front-End Technologies such as VueJS and React

  • Experienced with the NestJS framework

  • Experienced with creating APIs using GraphQL

  • Experienced with AWS Typescript CDK

  • Experienced with Document DBs such as MongoDB and DynamoDB

  • Experienced with AWS Data Pipelines such as AWS Glue and SageMaker

  • Experienced with MicroService Architecture and Monorepos
