Job Description:
The Logic is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join its dynamic and growing revenue team. This entry-level role focuses on identifying, researching and qualifying new sales leads, as well as building strong relationships with potential clients across our three core verticals: event sponsorships, advertising and corporate subscriptions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing outreach strategies with the goal of booking qualified sales meetings. As the first point of contact for many of our clients, this person will play a crucial role in articulating The Logic’s value proposition and building strong relationships. This full-time hybrid role takes work assignments from the Corporate Subscription Manager and the Director of Brand Partnerships. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and attend events and client meetings in Toronto, with additional travel as required. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, commission incentives, equity options, paid vacation and a comprehensive benefits package, including parental leave top-up, fertility coverage, dental, vision, HSA, EAP and more. The planned start date is early January 2025.

What You’ll Do:
Lead Generation:
- Identify, research and generate qualified leads through outbound efforts such as online search, databases, industry resources (newsletters, events, etc) and LinkedIn prospecting
- Utilize HubSpot to track leads, maintain accurate records and manage different sales pipelines
- Prospect and qualify outbound leads via email, phone and social media outreach
Client Engagement:
- Initiate contact with prospective clients to introduce our offerings and schedule meetings for senior sales team members
- Understand client needs and align them with our products (events sponsorship, advertising, group subscription)
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to develop effective lead-generation strategies and optimize processes
- Work toward achieving or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for outbound prospecting efforts
Market Research:
- Stay up-to-date on news, competitor activity, and industry developments relevant to our verticals
Who You Are:
- You have 1-2 years of experience in a sales, customer service, marketing or fundraising focused role
- You can write compelling and customized outreach emails
- You have excellent reading comprehension and oral communication skills
- You’re self-motivated and eager to learn sales processes and tools
- You have experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar platforms
- You’re highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- You’re skilled at building relationships and communicating effectively with clients
- You’re adaptable, solution-oriented and eager to contribute to the success of a growing team
- You make a point of staying up to date on current events and news
- You have a strong interest in building a sales career in the media or tech industries

Work Arrangements:
The Logic offers flexible work arrangements to help employees perform their best. While this role is hybrid, team members in Toronto and Ottawa have access to office space for meetings and collaboration. This role requires in-person meetings in Toronto, and other travel as required (approximately 10 days per year).
