Founded in 2018, we are backed by the Financial Times, with headquarters in Toronto and bureaus in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and Montreal. About the role
The producer will help The Logic conceive and deliver high-quality, engaging events to accompany Canada’s most authoritative and compelling coverage of business and technology. These events put the spotlight on our journalism, featuring The Logic’s journalists interviewing newsmakers or convening a panel discussion on a topic in the news. They are an important part of how we build and maintain community with our subscribers and partners, and they adhere to rigorous standards. For a sample of past events, please see here.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced producer of news or current affairs programming or events. They have strong news judgment and the skills to produce relevant, audience-focused events, with a demonstrated ability to conceive, plan, and shape such programming, sometimes under tight deadlines. A creative thinker, they will be able to make our events more accessible, resonant and entertaining. They will be comfortable securing guest speakers from the highest levels of business and government in Canada and beyond.
This contract position is based in Toronto, where The Logic offers a hybrid work arrangement. An exceptional candidate may be based elsewhere in Canada.
