Job Description
As an AI Engineer at Texada, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI strategy and leading the adoption of cutting-edge AI solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, translating business objectives into AI solutions, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects from concept to deployment, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
Work location and travel
This position is remote/hybrid. Our home office is located in Mississauga, ON. Although there are no regular office days, you may be required to attend occasional meetings in person. Candidates must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
How you will be contributing
- Define and drive the AI strategy and architecture for Texada SaaS products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and use cases across various domains.
- Lead the design and development of AI models, algorithms, and applications.
- Evaluate and select appropriate AI technologies and frameworks.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of AI solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest AI trends and research to drive innovation.
What we are hoping to find in your background
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
- Experience as a Software Engineer, DBA or Systems Architect.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- A passion for staying at the forefront of AI advancements.
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., OpenAPI, GPT, LangChain).
- Familiarity with Vector databases and platforms (e.g., Pinecone).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- AI Application Development - Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions, including machine learning model training, AI systems integration, and technical leadership.

Salary $85,000 - $93,500 per annum & 5% annual bonus ($89,250 - $98,175 OTE)
