Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.

As a Sr. Staff HR Business Partner, you are not an administrator - you are a high-level architect of organizational health. You will act as the primary strategic advisor to our executive leaders, sitting at the table as a core member of their leadership teams. You will be expected to challenge the status quo, drive radical accountability, and execute people strategies that enable fast, focused growth.

This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA, Austin, TX, Boston, MA, or Toronto, ON.

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Who You Are

  • You are a seasoned HRBP from the high-growth tech or AI space who influences senior technical leaders and excels at driving complex people projects to completion.
  • You take personal responsibility for the health of your organizations. If there is a problem, you own the solution from start to finish.
  • You skip the fluff. You are comfortable having difficult conversations and providing clear, actionable recommendations to executives.
  • Someone who understands how a tech company operates. You make HR decisions based on what helps the company win, not just what is standard practice.
  • Can move between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution without losing momentum. You thrive in environments that aren't yet fully defined.

What We Need

  • Partner with leaders at all levels to align their team structures and talent plans with Tenstorrent’s product roadmap.
  • Act as a candid sounding board for senior leaders, helping them build high-performing teams and navigate complex management challenges.
  • Use organizational data and metrics to diagnose issues, identify trends, and provide evidence-based recommendations. You won't just report data; you will use it to tell a story and drive action.
  • Act as the ultimate collaborator across the company. You will work seamlessly with Finance, Legal, Recruitment, and Compensation to ensure people initiatives are integrated and scalable.
  • Lead the thinking on how our teams should evolve as we scale. You’ll identify gaps in the organization and propose structural changes to keep us moving fast.
  • Take full responsibility for global programs, like performance and engagement surveys, ensuring they are executed with precision and fairness.

What You Will Learn

  • How to build and iterate on HR systems that don't just support but actually accelerate a rapidly scaling, product-first AI hardware company.
  • How our commitment to open hardware and software translates into a unique, high-transparency talent strategy and leadership model.
  • How to move beyond standard reporting to use real-time experimentation and feedback loops to pivot people strategies at the speed of our roadmap.
  • How to maintain the art of enterprise-level influence while staying deeply embedded in the day-to-day execution and high-stakes decisions of our engineering teams.
  • How to dismantle standard practices that don't work and replace them with lean, high-impact solutions that help the company win.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
