We are seeking a dynamic Lead Technical Program Manager to join our team. This role demands a product-centric mindset, a keen understanding of the external landscape, and the ability to steer the development and launch of our diverse product portfolio. As an early Technical Program Manager at Tenstorrent, you will be responsible for cross-functional innovation, executing complex programs end-to-end, and working closely with leadership. This role is onsite, based out Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end Productization of software releases - Planning, Development, Integration, Release, Automation, Debuggability, Visualization, HW-SW Compatibility matrices, Performance
  • Manage the Open Source Program Office (OSPO), workflows, community features & bugs, Pull-requests merges
  • Streamline SW Release & Performance Improvements across Firmware, Software, Compilers, AI Cloud stacks and Customer deployments
  • Harmonize Test, CI/CD, Debugging, Tooling and Release infrastructure
  • Define and track clear goals, priorities, and milestones, ensuring alignment with Tenstorrent’s business goals.
  • Provide programmatic guidance, mentorship, and foster a culture of execution within SW teams
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Own the Software product roadmaps from end to end.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; MS/MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of Technical program management in Software, Embedded, Semiconductor, or AI domains
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software co-design principles, and experience working with cross-functional teams of developers, test, and Field Application Engineers
  • Exceptional Program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple programs, prioritize tasks, influence teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Strong experience and devising metrics, roadmaps, dashboards and preparing executive level presentations
  • Experience with project & program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Confluence) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
  • Experience in AI hardware architecture, high-performance compute chipsets, and software frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, CUDA) is a plus

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
