We are seeking a SI Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will have a wealth of exposure designing high speed interconnects, breakout design, material trade-offs and verification. A background in electrical engineering, electronics or relevant field is required. Must love all things high speed!
*This role can be hired on a hybrid basis for any of the following locations: Santa Clara, Austin, Boston, Toronto*

Responsibilities

  • Design, extract, and simulate complex breakout structures, performing end to end simulations and validation against physical product.
  • Create design specs, liaise with external vendors and drive new technology adoption.
  • Perform simulation and extraction of board models for SI and PI.
  • Contribute to design and sign-off with ASIC packaging teams both internal and external, ODM partners and internal layout teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing valuable input from your area of expertise and beyond.
  • Assist the post-silicon team with bring-up as well as the troubleshooting of production and field failures.
  • Document design processes and provide training to other team members as necessary.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in the high speed digital field.
  • Significant experience in high speed PCB or package design, at least 10Gbps (100GbE, GDDR6, PCIe Gen5+, etc..).
  • Familiarity with the ASIC packaging design flow a bonus.
  • Extensive experience with high speed performance metrics, ICR, ERL, COM, NEXT and FEXT.
  • Well versed in high speed connector technology with knowledge of NPO, CPO, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency with any of the main PCB ECAD tools, Cadence Allegro preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
