Volante Software Inc. is seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager of Compliance and Infrastructure to lead our technology governance, compliance, infrastructure, and internal IT operations. This role is critical to ensuring enterprise-grade security, operational excellence, and scalable infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in compliance (PCI DSS and SOC 2), infrastructure management, security operations, automation, and internal IT governance within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Security & Compliance Leadership
- Own and maintain PCI DSS compliance
- Lead charter reviews
- Oversee policies and procedural reviews
- Lead SOC 2 compliance program
- Maintain and continuously improve procedures, controls, and documentation
- Ensure operational adherence across departments
- Manage vulnerability management program
- Support ongoing product and infrastructure compliance requirements
- Lead and respond to customer security questionnaires
- Conduct pre and post-sales compliance calls
- Provide formal information security attestations as required
2. Infrastructure & Platform Operations
- Lead infrastructure maintenance, scalability, and expansion initiatives
- Oversee database environments (e.g., MongoDB, Postgres etc. maintenance and growth planning)
- Manage operating systems and platform reliability
- Review and optimize infrastructure billing and technology spend
- Ensure performance, uptime, and cost efficiency across environments
- Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity (BCP) strategies.
3. Automation & Technology Enablement
- Drive automation initiatives to improve productivity and reduce manual processes
- Lead tool optimization and rationalization initiatives
- Manage enterprise productivity and security tools (e.g., RMM, Remote connectivity tools, Sophos, and related platforms)
- Define and implement integration architecture between enterprise tools
4. Internal IT Governance & Operations
- Own internal IT governance and operational oversight
- Track and manage technology bills, approvals, renewals, and vendor relationships
- Lead license governance and optimization
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security across internal platforms
- Provide cross-functional leadership to maintain alignment between product, infrastructure, and internal IT
Qualifications
- Advanced technical degree with previous experience leading infrastructure and cloud operations for a growing SaaS organization.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in technology operations (platform engineering, infrastructure, and cloud), with at least 2-3 years of experience managing technical teams.
- Strong technical knowledge and strong understanding of SaaS architecture, scalability, observability, and automation practices.
- Proven ownership of PCI DSS and SOC 2 compliance programs within cloud-based architectures
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, security operations, vulnerability management, and database platforms (e.g., MongoDB)
- Strong financial and vendor management acumen with focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency
- Executive-level communication skills with experience engaging customers, auditors, and cross-functional leadership
Certifications
- Required: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification
- Preferred: ITIL or equivalent service management certification
- Preferred: Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP Preferred)
