Compensation & Role Details

Expected Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $10,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications

Role Type: New Role

Account Executives are paid a Base Salary plus commissions based on monthly sales, as well as a generous benefits package that includes Health, Dental, and Supplemental Insurance, PTO, and Vacation

Work Arrangement:
Remote, with occasional on-site presence required at our New Jersey office for events and training.

About ICS:
ICS powers one of the leading point-of-sale software and e-commerce solutions for the retail wine and spirits industry. We are searching for a highly motivated, confident Account Executive with perseverance and a drive for results. Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, this individual will drive new business development through marketing, existing business referrals, and additional sales initiatives, as well as becoming an integral component in lead generation and the overall sales cycle. This position is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to continue a successful sales career in a Business-to-Business sales environment.

As an Account Executive, you will devote much of your day to acquiring new business through traditional marketing efforts including but not limited to cold calling, direct marketing efforts, and both traditional and non-traditional methods. You will identify your prospects’ system requirements, provide solutions, close the sale, and then gather core information to hand off to the Implementation Team.

Your contact with the sale will continue throughout the implementation phase, up to the customer’s ‘Go Live’ date, with occasional circle-back contact to assess the success of the installation and the happiness of the client. You will also sell back into the existing customer base, identifying new needs as a customer’s business evolves and to promote new Company features as they are released.

Job Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of the position are:

  • Identify new prospects and qualify/disqualify their fitness for the WinePOS and/or WineFetch solutions

  • Promotion of WinePOS and E-Commerce products/services to increase market share and profitability

  • Be capable of demonstrating all solutions in-person and remotely to prospects

  • Seek out new business opportunities and exceed customer expectations

  • Be a vocal brand Ambassador for WinePOS at events and meetings throughout the country

  • Work with marketing department on lead generation campaigns

  • Meet all target sales levels

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our clients’ needs, industry trends, and competition

  • Learn and stay current on the operation of all WinePOS products/services and technologies

  • Using existing tools, maintain and execute a clear sales plan, outlining sales activity on a quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily basis which can be easily communicated to Management.

  • 25% travel required


Job Qualifications

To be successful, you must possess the skills necessary to carry out creative marketing plans and achieve aggressive sales goals while adhering to all ICS programs and policies. You must be a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly on the job.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • A degree or technical diploma in business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in Sales

  • 3 to 5 years in full-cycle software sales

  • Experience in POS and e-Commerce solution selling is a major asset

  • Experience in the liquor industry is a major asset

  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; uses information gathered for improvements in products and services.

  • Proven ability to convert sales from leads for both new prospects and existing customers. Understands the cultures of these organizations.

  • Able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles

  • Strong verbal communication skills. Comfortable and effective in a variety of formal and informal presentation settings.

  • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal savvy complimented by the ability to listen; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when disagreeing with the premise.

  • Strong prospecting and needs analysis skills, with the ability to effectively present and discuss intangible services and solutions, treating each prospect as an individual

  • Competency and comfort in presenting analysis around new strategies to increase market penetration

  • Ability to think creatively in identifying new sources of opportunity; comes up with many new and unique ideas; easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions.

  • Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations and settle differences with minimal noise.

  • Relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport on all levels.

  • Pursues everything with energy, drive and a need to finish.
