PYXiS is an operational Portfolio of Jonas Software, a fully owned subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (trading as “CSU” on the Toronto Stock Exchange). Position: Financial Reporting Manager
Based in the Jonas Head Office in Markham, ON, the Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Financial Controller. This role requires an individual to manage the consolidated PYXiS financial reporting process and internal control environment. This will require actively assisting the independent businesses. By coaching and supporting our team of analysts, the successful candidate will oversee the preparation of financial statements and note disclosures for regulatory reporting and adherence to deadlines and deliverables. The Financial Reporting Manager will ensure high risk and complex commercial transactions are appropriately accounted for and disclosed in accordance with IFRS and will design, implement, and oversee the development of internal control review in the spirit of continuous improvement to the financial reporting process. They will also provide assistance in any due diligence on M&A from a technical accounting perspective.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely completion of monthly financial statements, management reports and note disclosure reporting for PYXiS to the parent company.
Own the accounting and reporting of acquisition-related accounts such as contingent considerations, holdbacks, and intangible assets.
Provide timely and high-quality accounting analysis and documentation on material revenue transactions to assist business partners in achieving business and financial reporting objectives.
Design, implement and oversee a financial reconciliation review process to maintain visibility of material balances and continuously evaluating the supporting evidence for management estimates and provisions.
Liaise with operating and parent company financial reporting groups to keep portfolio updated on significant accounting policy, reporting, and disclosure updates.
Monitor new accounting standards and analyze impacts on policy standards and financial statements.
Coaching and mentoring Finance team members on best practices.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and facilitate projects as requested by the Financial Controller and VP Finance.
Internal Controls:
Oversee documentation to substantiate and demonstrate adequate procedures and controls are in place to meet accounting and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal policies.
Develop and implement a control testing process to continuously evaluate and improve the control environment.
Assist with the coordination and project management of financial and statutory audits for the PYXiS Group businesses.
Acquisitions:
Provide late-stage acquisition support to the M&A team relating to accounting policy review.
Assist in preparing the purchase price accounting and revenue recognition checklist for new acquisitions.
Assist in preparing accounting set up in determining functional currency, chart of account and reporting mapping.
Review acquisition audits of new businesses.
Review Earn Out Statements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/business/commerce.
CPA holder with 4+ years post-designation experience in accounting and/or audit with a US and/or Canadian public company or public accounting firm.
Advanced knowledge of accounting and IFRS guidance.
Sound understanding of contracting terms and conditions and the assessment of commercial risk and implications on accounting treatment.
Exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) is desirable.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience in the software or high-tech industry is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) or Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is an asset.

Compensation: The expected salary range for this role is between $110,000 and $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
