Position Overview
We are seeking an Onsite Systems Engineer who is passionate about delivering exceptional end user support and maintaining dependable IT operations across our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing desktops, laptops, and user environments to ensure smooth daily technology experiences for our employees. You will work closely with Systems Engineers, Network Administrators, and Security teams to maintain consistent standards, provide timely resolutions, and drive continuous service improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level I & II technical support to end-users (onsite and remote) for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS workstations, peripherals, and approved business applications.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, and remote connectivity tools.
Ensure incident resolution and documentation within the IT ticketing system (e.g., Freshworks, ServiceNow, Jira, or ManageEngine).
Assist with hardware lifecycle management – procurement, imaging, deployment, and decommissioning.
Maintain endpoint security standards, including antivirus, encryption, and patch compliance.
Support audio-visual (AV) and conferencing technologies across corporate meeting spaces.
Collaborate with senior engineers to test and deploy system upgrades and new tools.
Identify recurring problems and contribute to knowledge base and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2–4 years of hands-on experience in desktop or end-user support in a corporate IT environment.
Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 environments.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, and Group Policy management.
Experience with remote support tools (e.g., Beyond Trust Remote, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
Experience with mobile device management (MDM) tools such as Microsoft Intune or JAMF.
Exposure to SCCM, ServiceNow, or other known ticketing systems.
Knowledge of ITIL principles or experience in IT service delivery frameworks.
