POSITION

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading our outbound sales strategy for our WYSIWYG product range, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies. This is a high-impact role requiring strategic thinking, initiative, and a deep understanding of the product and market, with a focus on both B2C and B2B efforts and initiatives. You will be responsible for planning and leading business development efforts and working closely with the Customer Success, and Marketing teams to ensure strong pipeline generation and alignment. Success in this role is measured by how effectively you and your team meet your targets in relation to WYSIWYG’s user count and revenue growth, while still maintaining it’s industry leading reputation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Design and execute outbound strategies to target net-new customers

  • Own and manage lead generation targets, qualification metrics, and reporting KPIs

  • Assess market trends and competitor activity to refine messaging and target segments

  • Undertake discovery calls with existing WYSIWYG users to get feedback on how we can better meet the needs of our customers

Market Expansion

  • Identify and evaluate adjacent markets and opportunities where WYSIWYG can be deployed

  • Work with Global Sales Director to define regional penetration strategies and partnership opportunities

  • Represent the company at key industry events to build relationships with prospective clients, gather market intelligence, and deliver presentations that position CAST as a thought leader in entertainment and event technology.

  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports with pipeline forecasts, insights, and recommendations

Sales Leadership & Internal Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor sales staff or interns

  • Lead by example by calling and emailing your own prospects to understand their needs, close deals, and report back to staff on your conversations to provide mentorship

  • Act as the strategic lead for all outbound activities and campaigns

  • Develop and optimize qualification frameworks, prospecting scripts, and outreach tactics

  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Marketing to relay customer insights and shape campaign assets

Tool & Process Management

  • Evaluate and manage outbound tools

  • Ensure efficient data entry and reporting using CRM (Zoho)

  • Identify and implement improvements to outreach cadence, call scripts, reporting, and sales enablement resources

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience of B2B and B2C sales experience, preferably in SaaS, event tech, AV, or related fields

  • +3 years management experience

  • Experience leading and developing a team

  • Proven success in outbound lead generation and new business development

  • Strong planning, analytical, and communication skills

  • Experience using CRM tools and sales engagement platforms

  • Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and driving results
