ABOUT THE ROLE
Position Summary
A Business Development Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving RBRO’s customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This position will be responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new business, and assisting in the achievement of sales targets. The position will also conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone, email, webinar, and in person. This position will report to the Director, Sales and Marketing.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Cold-call prospects that are generated by external sources of lead
Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process
Penetrate all targeted accounts and generate sales from within client base
Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members
Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects
Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions
Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email to identify cross-sell and upselling opportunities
Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into sales
Overcome objections of prospective customers
Assist the Sales team in preparing sales order forms, software quotes, SOW and Work orders
Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients
Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the CRM
Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events
Attend periodic sales training where applicable
Perform other duties as assigned
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of Inside sales or telesales experience
University or college degree
Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management
Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
Outstanding phone presence with the ability to create rapport with prospective clients
Self-motivated and driven to plan and execute sales generation
Strong process discipline, ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue
Strong computer skills and experience with CRM Software. Knowledge of SalesForce and Zoominfo is an asset
Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
