Are you looking for an opportunity to lead multiple businesses, coach and develop senior business leaders, and shape the future of a growing and dynamic portfolio?
As a Group Leader, you will be at the forefront of leadership development and strategic planning for the businesses within your portfolio, while also trying to grow your portfolio through M&A activities. While you will not have direct operational responsibilities, your focus will be on empowering business unit leaders, facilitating knowledge transfer, and optimizing performance across your group. This position reports directly to Vertus Group’s CEO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
Lead Exceptional Software Businesses
- Manage a portfolio of four or more acquired companies/business units in line with the strategy and performance standards of Vertus Group.
- Coach and develop business unit leadership in company best practices to drive operational excellence.
- Oversee execution of key projects within each business unit to ensure strategic goals are met.
Grow Your Portfolio
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets to expand your portfolio, bringing leads to the Vertus M&A team.
- Support M&A transactions, including management meetings, due diligence, and negotiations.
- Develop and execute post-acquisition integration strategies to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS.
We are looking for a strategic, results-driven leader with experience in senior business management and M&A. Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a strong asset.
- 10+ years of experience in business leadership and transactions (M&A, financials, valuations, negotiations, due diligence, integration, etc.)
- Experience and affiliation with software and technology businesses.
- Proven track record in business growth, strategic execution, and business-wide change management.
- Project management skills and the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams to ensure they deliver their respective key projects and initiatives.
- Maturity and sound performance-driven managerial experience coupled with a natural entrepreneurial spirit and healthy risk appetite.
- Self-starting individual with a high focus on working autonomously.
- Low-touch, high-impact mentality.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentations, negotiations, and influencing others.
- Organizational skills. Ability to plan workload to effectively oversee multiple business units.
