Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Chief of Staff to join our rapidly growing team at Syzl. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in a high-growth startup with the potential to make a significant impact. The Chief of Staff will work directly with the Founders and play a critical role in streamlining operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the efficient execution of our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate closely with the Founders  to drive strategic initiatives, manage priorities, and ensure the alignment of organizational goals with execution.
  • Project Management: Lead and support key projects, tracking progress, and ensuring milestones are met. Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Scaling Operations: As a small but rapidly scaling startup, you will play a crucial role in helping us grow and expand our reach while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the CEO and the rest of the team, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the organization.
  • Networking: While not mandatory, having an existing network within the tech community in Toronto would be a valuable asset to help us connect with potential partners and resources.
  • Gatekeeping and Communication Monitoring: Monitor and streamline multi-platform communications, ensuring effective flow of information within the organization.
  • Assisting with Hiring: Collaborate with leadership on the hiring process, from screening candidates to drafting job descriptions.
  • Identifying Skill Gaps: Identify skill and expertise gaps within teams and find solutions to address them.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with the COO to manage income and expense reports, ensuring financial compliance.
  • Executive Support: Keep executives organized with logistics, scheduling, and prioritization of tasks, acting as their right-hand person.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a strategic role, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
  • Toronto-based or willing to relocate to Toronto.
