As a Managing Director in our New Accounts team, you will be responsible for engaging with potential new clients in EMEA. You will be focused on identifying, prospecting, building relationships with, and closing new clients of Street Context.
You will need to familiarize yourself and continually update your understanding of the market we operate in, our users' workflows, and how we fit into the broader enterprise on the sell side. Additionally, you’ll become a product expert, understanding how the Street Context offering augments the users, managers, and broader enterprise, and how to effectively convey the value proposition of our products.
You will work with your peers and manager to identify attractive opportunities at new firms and develop a prospecting strategy for each of those accounts. As these will be larger accounts you will be developing a multi-faceted approach, leveraging several touch points and strategies.
Once you’ve built initial traction with clients, you’ll be responsible for shepherding the process through infosec, due diligence, pilot, and full deployment. Once the pilot is complete (and successful), you will begin transitioning the account to the Customer Success (Account Management) team, acting as an ongoing resource (as needed) but largely returning your attention to new logos.
Additionally, Street Context will support you by providing some marketing-driven leads, and you will be able to utilize our strong network of allies, investors and board members to get introductions to key stakeholders within your book of business.
As always, you will represent Street Context with utmost professionalism during customer meetings, these include phone calls, video conferences and face-to-face meetings which are usually conducted at the client’s offices.
Finally, you will be responsible for documenting the sales process and prospecting efforts. You will be supported by your colleagues in the go-to-market team and by the leadership of the company.

Your Know-How

  • You have 10+ years of experience working in the capital markets, and an understanding of the industry, our customers, and the workflow that drive the business.
  • You are passionate about the markets, how information flows through them, and how the various participants drive the industry.
  • You have the competitive drive and emotional durability to sustain a high pace of sales activity.
  • You have clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are experienced and comfortable delivering presentations to large groups and are able to build consensus amongst groups with strong, sometimes differing opinions.
  • You are a goal-oriented individual with a bias to action and a track record of self-starting.
  • You are receptive to and integrate feedback into your conduct and professional development goals.
  • You have experience negotiating contract terms, including pricing, and managing client expectations.

It's a Bonus If

  • You have sold software to the Sell Side or Buy Side front office before.
  • You have experience selling business-facing, subscription-based products.
  • You have experience at a fast growing technology company in the capital markets.
