About the Role
As a Manager of Ad Operations, you’ll lead a team of talented Ad Operations Specialists responsible for the execution, optimization, and quality assurance of programmatic advertising campaigns.
Reporting to the Director of Performance Strategy and Operations, you’ll oversee campaign management across various programmatic channels and tactics, while driving operational excellence, efficiency, and innovation. You’ll play a key role in developing your team, refining processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure StackAdapt continues to deliver best-in-class programmatic performance for our clients.
This position is designed for professionals with deep experience in programmatic campaign execution, from audience strategy and pixel implementation to performance optimization and data analysis. You’ll manage people and processes, advocate for operational needs with internal teams, and implement scalable systems that enhance campaign quality and delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Ad Operations Specialists, fostering continuous learning, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Provide ongoing training and ensure consistent adoption of best practices across the team.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee all aspects of programmatic campaign setup, trafficking, QA, and delivery across StackAdapt.
- Ensure campaigns are launched on time, error-free, and optimized for success.
- Monitor workload distribution and resource allocation to maintain efficiency and balance across the team.
- Process & Workflow Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline campaign setup and delivery through automation, templates, and other workflow enhancements.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Client Services teams to enhance internal tools and systems.
- Develop and implement SOPs that improve scalability, accuracy, and turnaround times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Client Services to ensure seamless campaign handoffs, troubleshooting, and continuous feedback across functions.
- Work closely with Product to advocate for operational needs and contribute to feature development that supports campaign success.
- Represent Ad Operations in strategic discussions around service delivery, efficiency, and innovation.
- Quality Assurance & Reporting
- Maintain oversight of QA processes for creatives, pixels, and campaign setups.
- Track key operational metrics and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Own and report on the operational performance of your team.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in programmatic advertising with at least 3 years in a people management role.
- Deep technical understanding of programmatic ecosystems, including optimization best practices and performance troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of campaign trafficking, QA, and pixel implementation processes.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with DSPs, SSPs, Exchanges, Ad Servers, Site Analytics Tools.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex operational processes into clear, actionable guidance.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
