- Working with team of engineers focused on managing database and building custom services to automate database operations
- Develop deep understanding of specific database technologies, and act in consultative capacity to effectively leverage the database
- Architect scalable low-latency systems and data pipelines. Write code as needed to support the team.
- Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers within the backend distributed systems team
- Make a positive impact on the team's productivity and growth
- Promote software development best-practices and conduct rigorous code reviews
- Rigorously identify and solve technical challenges
- Conduct interviews to attract and identify potential high performing candidates
- Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achieved
We'll be reaching out to candidates that have:
- Experience with different types of database technologies
- Knowledge of operational best practices and database management
- Proven track record of delivering results and leading growing, high-impact teams
- At least 5 years experience of software development in distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices and data pipelines in a successful high-growth technology company
- At least 1 year of leadership experience, including all the responsibilities listed above
- A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
- Up to date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Experience with Go and high performance databases is a plus
