The Senior SM role is a combination of sales activities and customer relationship management. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you’ll be responsible for both growing existing business and closing new programmatic advertising revenue from agencies and brands. A successful SM must have a clear understanding of the client’s long-term business objectives and seek partnership opportunities to further grow the client’s business with StackAdapt. You'll predominantly be responsible for bringing in new clients. You'll work closely with StackAdapt Account Managers to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new campaign strategies and solutions to clients, and building strong relationships.
StackAdapt is a Remote First company, this role is open to candidates who are ideally based in Japan

What you'll be doing:

  • Leverage deep understanding of local market dynamics to drive strategic regional expansion efforts.
  • Identify, pitch, and successfully close new platform sales deals with local agencies and brands, tailoring proposals to address specific needs.
  • Collaborate closely with management and product teams to provide input for region-specific product development, ensuring alignment with market demands.
  • Offer guidance and recommendations for region-specific improvements, informed by direct client interactions and market observations.
  • Proactively manage existing client relationships, nurturing trust and seeking opportunities for account growth.
  • Partner with StackAdapt Account Managers to devise and execute tailored client retention strategies, presenting innovative campaign solutions to drive client success.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bilingual in Japanese and English
  • Digital advertising sales experience - programmatic is a plus!
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Marketing and/ or Advertising Technology
  • 4+ years of business development & sales experience in Programmatic
  • Utilized various CRM tools to build a robust pipeline and ensured ongoing client satisfaction, renewal and opportunity discovery
  • Experience building client pitch decks (and the associated research) to close new business
  • Track record of success in a quota carrying environment
  • Ability to grasp and communicate technical concepts and platform-based knowledge
  • Willing to travel occasionally to meet with clients within the region
