This role will be a part of our Non-Programmatic Execution team. This team has a broad mandate centered around marketing technology. This is a new team and scope, so you will get to work on exciting greenfield projects and initiatives. Our current focus is in the email marketing space, and our rapidly-evolving stack includes tech like Golang, SQL databases, Redis, gRPC etc. If you’re passionate about building high-throughput, distributed systems and have an interest or background in marketing technology, this might just be the place for you!

StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in North America for this position.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with a new team to build out StackAdapt’s Marketing technology offering
- Integrate services in the StackAdapt’s Customer Data Platform and Platform
- Architect scalable low-latency backend systems and data pipelines. Write code as needed to support the team.
- Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers within the backend distributed systems team
- Make a positive impact on the team's productivity and growth
- Promote software development best-practices and conduct rigorous code reviews
- Rigorously identify and solve technical challenges
- Conduct interviews to attract and identify potential high performing candidates
- Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achieved
We'll be reaching out to applicants that have:
- Experience with MarTech or Email marketing
- Proven track record of delivering results and leading growing, high-impact teams
- At least 5 years experience of software development in distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices and data pipelines in a successful high-growth technology company
- At least 1 year of leadership experience, including all the responsibilities listed above
- A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
- Up to date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Experience with Go and high performance databases is a plus
