Sports Trader (100% remote)

Sports IQ Analytics accepting applications from candidates in the Asia-Pacific time zone for our Trading team! The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience as a Sports Trader, focusing on the 4 major US sport leagues (NBA, MFL, MHL, MLB). You do not need to be an expert in all 4 sports, but a strong understanding and/or passion in at least 2 of the leagues would be a great asset for this role.

About the role:

As a Sports Trader at Sports IQ Analytics, you will work in a team of Traders who specialize in NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB. You will cover multiple sports markets and perform pre-match and live trading. In this role, you’ll build on your existing knowledge of sports and sports betting, developing specialized expertise in multiple sports markets. You’ll collaborate with other Sports IQ teams including pre-game and live game analysts to ensure our data is accurate and current.

Responsibilities:

• Perform time-sensitive pre-match and live sports trading, while providing sports expertise - to ensure high quality of our product
• Monitor real-time US sports events, live data and internal systems
• Report Tech/Trading issues encountered to the Trading manager on duty
• Perform analysis of market trends and observe industry leaders
• Developing a specialization in a specific sport/league
• Building on existing knowledge of the industry’s policies, systems and procedures

Qualifications:

• Strong passion and/or knowledge in US sports, especially NFL, NHL and NBA
• Experience in pre-match and live trading (having experience with relevant systems/tools is preferred)
• Collaborates well with our global team spanning different time zones
• Attention to detail, flexibility and resourcefulness in approaching tasks and potential issues
• Familiarity with the betting industry trends
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and highly dependable
• Ability to work shifts, nights and weekends
• Adaptability is key - we work in a very fast paced environment that requires discipline, strong concentration and ability to multitask
