We are seeking an independent, experienced Quality Management System Lead responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining SPARK Microsystems’ ISO 9001:2015 aligned Quality Management System. This role will lead the establishment of the QMS, drive ISO certification, and ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in quality, reliability, and operational excellence, including driving qualifications, continuous reliability monitoring, FAs, RMAs, and other quality processes. You will act as the operational owner of the QMS under the direction of the Director, Quality & Operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the QMS, including the Quality Manual and controlled Tier 1–3 documents.
  • Lead ISO 9001:2015 certification initiatives and sustain compliance over time.
  • Manage document control, versioning, and approval workflows.
  • Plan, conduct, and document internal audits; track and close CAPAs.
  • Support external ISO and customer audits with complete documentation packages.
  • Define, track, and report QMS KPIs; prepare input for Management Reviews.
  • Manage customer quality documentation (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, PFAS, SDS, declarations).
  • Respond to customer quality surveys and questionnaires.
  • Drive reliability and quality initiatives, including qualifications, continuous reliability monitoring, FAs, and RMAs.
  • Promote process simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Conduct internal awareness and QMS training sessions.
  • Maintain the quality risk register and ensure proactive issue tracking.
  • Act as internal ISO 9001 compliance resource and subject matter expert.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, QMS management, or compliance.
  • Proven experience implementing ISO 9001:2015, including internal audits and leading certification efforts.
  • Experience with quality and reliability processes, including qualifications, FAs, RMAs, and continuous monitoring, an asset.
  • Experience with environmental compliance (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, PFAS).
  • Strong documentation, technical writing, and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, and data tools (Power BI or JMP is an asset).
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training preferred.
