SPARK Microsystems
SPARK Microsystems is looking for a motivated RF System Designer, you will be working on the next generation wireless ASICs and SoCs that are used in range of SPARK Microsystems products such as mice, audio headsets, speakers, proximity detection, ranging and the IoT. You will work closely with the design and validation teams for characterizing and evaluating UWB radio to see if it meets requirements and specifications. You will also be involved in the architecture and specification development of SPARK next generation ASIC including doing proof of concepts. This position reports to the Director of ASIC Development.
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform UWB RF characterization, evaluations, optimization, performance testing, and write reports on the test results to be reviewed by the Systems Architect, System Validation and other groups.
- Evaluating the performance of RF front end chip (ASIC) including measuring amplitude distortion, phase distortion, out-of-band emissions, PA distortion as characterized by Error Vector Magnitude (EVM), Low noise amplifier (LNA) noise figure, and LNA linearity.
- Analyze test results and optimize the chip (ASIC) parameters to get the best system performances.
- Participate in the architecture and specification of Spak next generation ASIC.
- Assess feasibility of various UWB RF chip designs in support of architecture definition.
- Deriving top level specifications for RF links and subsystems including the modem/DSP.
- Characterize and analyze system performance.
- Do lab testing (validation) after the ASIC comeback for manufacturing.
- Utilize RF simulation tools to analyze system performance, identify potential issues, and optimize design parameters.
- Design, debug, and validate RF PCBs to meet performance specifications.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with design engineers, ATE engineers, validation specialists and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
- Develop automated tests and reports.
