As a Senior Software Developer on the AI Voice Team, you will be instrumental in building advanced conversational AI solutions that redefine customer interactions. Through innovation and collaboration, you will enhance customer satisfaction by crafting intuitive and accessible conversational experiences, empowering riders to book services seamlessly and engage meaningfully without the need for long wait times.

Successful candidates will be located in Vancouver, BC. The AI Voice team is a hybrid team, meaning that you will be expected to work in the office 3 days a week at our HQ located in Downtown Vancouver near the Waterfront Station.

Please note! Spare will be observing an end-of-year shutdown from December 25 to January 1. If you apply during this time, you may not hear about next steps until we return to the office on January 2. If you begin your interviews before the break, it's likely your interview process will pause after initial interview stages and resume in January.

Contribute and lead design discussions related to code architecture.
Iterate and improve current development processes to ensure top-tier uptime and efficiency.
Ensure AI Voice achieves its OKRs by delivering high-quality, reliable features executed with velocity.

About you ✨

5+ professional years of experience as a full-stack software developer;
An ability to manage relationships and communication with many stakeholders, including internal colleagues, customers, and external partners.
A strong understanding of the business and strategic factors involved in software development projects, with the ability to prioritize tasks and accurately estimate the time needed to complete your work;
You have worked in a tech-focused company and better yet if you grew within that company;
You have a strong history of navigating the software problem-solving process, including engaging in discussions, exploring multiple solutions, and critically evaluating each option.

It will be considered a plus:

Experience building LLM applications
Experience building AI features
Experience with Javascript/Typescript
Experience working on SaaS platforms
