Business Development Representative

Job Description & Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for building a pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound qualification. You will help generate qualified leads that result in new business, supporting our scaling efforts and contributing to the success of our Business Development team. You will be expected to harness industry expertise and subject matter knowledge to diagnose a prospect’s pain points and convey the value of our solutions. We are looking for a driven professional with sound business acumen, technical aptitude, and natural sales instincts to join our fast-growing sales team. We will provide lots of industry and on-the-job training in the first few months. We just ask you to bring your winning attitude and a positive outlook!


  • Identifying and qualifying potential new publisher leads
  • Send 40+ emails to prospective new clients each day
  • Develop a systematic approach to follow up on prospects to keep moving through the sales funnel or remove from outreach efforts
  • Set up meetings for the Business Development team and be an active listener on those calls to learn sales pitch, process and support
  • Work with the Business Development team to handle sales objections
  • Support pre-sale pipeline management, reporting, and opportunity accuracy in Freestar’s CRM
  • Consistently exceed goals and expectations
  • Assist with contract creation and initial onboarding tasks
  • Contribute to our team-oriented culture

  • 1+ years of experience in the ad tech industry
  • Experience in prospecting, cold calling and emailing, or any other customer-facing or business development methodologies
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter being able to work autonomously
  • Problem-solving: being adaptable and can roll with the punches that come with a tech company
