Solace’s configuration software developer team is growing! The configuration team is responsible for a platform of technologies that manage Solace’s high-performance event messaging products.

The Cool Stuff You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Routing and Redundancy team manager, you will:

  • Create, develop, test, and deploy solutions for Solace’s high-performance messaging products.
  • Learn by doing, actively work with your mentor, and collaborate closely with peers to hone your craft over time.
  • Collaborate with peers to continually improve our architecture, code, and reduce friction in how we develop and deploy software.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years proven experience in professional software development.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in object-oriented programming.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex issues and devise innovative solutions.
  • Positive attitude, open-mindedness to face challenges, and a strong team player ethos.
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and distributed systems, particularly in the areas of Routing and Redundancy.

Bonus points:

  • Proficiency with at least one public cloud provider, including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles.
  • Familiarity with designing, implementing, or maintaining highly available (HA) systems.
  • Hands-on experience with C++.
